What is LO-FI Balanced Well-Being?
Simply put—less is more. Did you ever wonder if those stats on your tracking device or doomscrolling on social media was helping or hindering your health? We live in a time of information overload, and conflicting facts and hacks that put us on an anxiety-fueled rollercoaster.

Balance is the antidote to information overload.

Why lo-fi?
Because we aren’t machines, we’re humans—and we’re perfectly imperfect. To transform how we feel physically, emotionally, mentally and socially, we need to pause and get real honest with ourselves.

Why work with me?
I’ve spent more than 17 years asking questions, challenging our healthcare system, understanding and restoring gut health first for my son Isaiah, then for thousands of people. My experiences taught me the interdependent relationship between the health of our gut and our brain, which affects our immune, skin, sleep, endocrine and nervous systems.

Why now?
LO-FI Balanced Well-Being reiterates that the most important element of our being human—our living, breathing bodies. This is a reaction to that—a nod to simpler times when we relied on our gut instincts and the invaluable wisdom of our ancestors.

I’m Silvana, your recipe alchemist and functional medicine nutrition practitioner (in training). I am vitally committed to the health of all beings—what I believe to be a basic human right. I’ve been called the Swiss army knife of food and a creative cook by The New York Times thanks to my son’s gluten-free, dairy-free diagnosis 17 years ago.
